- All MerCruiser 165hp (Inline-6 Cylinder) 4.1L 6cyl applications (165hp) for Pre-Alpha/R/MR/ALPHA ONE Gen 1, so 1970-1982 as a general rule (Gears were found on subsequent years)
- (Actually the actual gears minus the shafts were also used on some Gen II drives 1991-1997)
- The gear set here is MerCruiser 43-55765A2
- (Also equivalent to Sierra 18-2203) & 43-55765A3 & 43-45814A5 (Gears Only - none of the other parts are applicable to the Gen II application)
- 24-24 (tooth count) 1.65 Ratio
