Part Number(s) Included

  • MerCruiser 43880-C1 (stamped) Gimbal Transom Housing (With integrated oil fitting provision for the gearcase on this)
    • It looks like it could possibly be 43880-C, but it looks like there is a little "1" after the C and the typically 43880-C's did not have oiling provisions. This would have been from a 1989 bravo application so I know it is one of the earliest styles that featured an integrated oiling system.
    • Referenced in current manuals as 43881A13, but likely 43881A4 / 43881A3 / 43381A6 / 43881A10 / 43881A12 from time period manuals

General Application / Compatibility

  • This would have ONLY been found on some of the earliest examples of Bravo sterndrive's gimbal housing transom assemblies 1988-1989 that featured an integrated oiling system... There were also non-oiler early versions of this transom assembly but usually these drives were just sealed like a standard alpha one from that time period and then there would have been a kit that threaded into the upper gearcase vent to keep the drive "topped off".

Other Details

  • Freshwater Used Parts
  • Overall Good Condition
  • Has had the steering swivel pin replacement procedure done to it at some point so it has the hole cut around that area with a plate attached in it's place.
  • Original Paint (missing in spots, but metal is in good shape otherwise)

Purchase with confidence!
