OMC 981088 / 0981088 Swivel Bearing Retainer & Bushing Housing (Stamped 909115)
For use with the Early OMC Stringer 400 & 800 series Lower gearcase housings 1978-1979
- Only on the early 1978-1979 400 & 800 Hydro-Mechanical Drives used the same swivel housing... 1980-1985 drives used different housing for 400 & 800 drives.
- Engine doesn matter here... 2.5L 4cyl / 3.0L 4cyl / 3.8L V6 / 4.3L V6 / 5.0L 305 / 5.0L 302 / 5.7L 350 / 5.8L 351 / (120hp 140hp 170hp / 185hp / 190hp / 200hp / 205hp / 230hp / 260hp etc.)
Part Number for this is technically 981088 as a complete assembly, but it is usually stamped 909115 which is correct for the years listed above, and yours should be stamped the same thing.
You WILL NEED TO replace the seals in this... Order OMC P/N 310649 & 313353 (x2)
