I also experienced the rear transmission tailshaft seal leak on my Nissan NV 2500, purchased this tool to install a new seal on the Van's transmission. This is a common problem with these vans that is usually caused by the driveshaft carrier bearing failing (the rubber separates from the bearing) and this condition ultimately causes too much vibration in the driveshaft which wears out the seal. I ended up replacing both the seal and the bearing carrier at the same time while I had everything apart. The whole project is doable in the driveway with basic hand tools.
