- Should replace OMC 979821 / 0979821 from the 1973 Models as well
- Supersedes to OMC 0772831 / 772831
GM Rochester 2-Jet 2-barrel carburetor
- (7040083 - Stamped on Bowl)
From a 1973-1978 OMC GM 3.0L 140hp 4cyl applications as it has the ball joint end for the plastic linkage specific to 140hp models.
May need to be cleaned or gone through or possibly rebuilt before installation. So that is why we have included a complete Carburetor Rebuild kit (Sierra 18-7070) in the event you need to rebuild this.
Other details to take note of if you are unsure of fitment...
- Orientation of the Choke warm-up spring chamber
- Throttle Linkage plate type (yours should look the same)
- Fuel input fitting
