• 94993A12 Gimbal Housing Ring (Stamped) 94992-C3
• The 94992-C3 Models were the later style gimbal rings and it's lower hole used an aluminum pin & nylon bushing rather than the steel pin & greasable roller bearing.
• You can't install a nylon busing in a needle bearing one or vise versa...Functionally the same though, Ideally you would want to just use the correct style pin, but technically either one will work.

Compatibility

• Basically this would have been found on MerCruiser Gen I Transom assemblies 1983-1990 (square gimbal ring / square steering lever)  (Just confirm with your parts diagram)
